Reese Pharmaceutical named 2008 Employer of the year by United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland

CLEVELAND, OHIO, June 5, 2008—Reese Pharmaceutical Company has been named the United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Greater Cleveland 2008 Employer of the year in recognition of the company’s commitment of the UCP mission to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities.
In September of 2006, Reese opened a supported employment site for UCP. Since that time it has continued to expand the program and currently employs eight associates and a site supervisor. The program provides meaningful work opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Primarily employed to handle the repetitive production pack-out process, the team also provides a level of preliminary quality control product inspection in addition to the regular QC procedures that are handled by the Reese quality control staff. The current team consists of three women and six men, each working 27-1/2 hours per week.

Founded in 1907, Reese Pharmaceutical Company is a privately held marketer and distributor of proprietary OTC drugs. They celebrated their 100th year of operation in 2007.
